    Candidates under merit list are requested to report at the college for interview on 26-06-2019 at 09.30 a.m.

    The following documents in original should be produced by the candidates at the time of interview

    (1) Transfer Certificate (2) Conduct Certificate (3) SSLC or equivalent certificate (4) Mark list of all parts of degree examinations and PG examinations wherever applicable and Degree/Provisional certificate(s). (5) Certificate to prove nativity. (copy of the SSLC or any other relevant document) (6) Certificate obtained recently in support of claim for communal reservation (if applicable.) (7) Certificate in support of special reservation if applicable. (Sports/PWD) (8) Eligibility Certificate from MG University in case of candidates who have passed their qualifying examination (UG & PG) from other universities outside the state. (9) Migration Certificate (for candidates passed their qualifying examinations from universities other than M.G.) (10) NSS/NCC Certificate at degree level (if applicable). (11) Certificate in support of Ex-service category claim obtained not earlier than six months (if applicable). (12) Passport size photograph – 2 Nos. (13) Self addressed stamped (Rs.5) envelopes – 2 Nos.




The Human Rights Day was observed on 10th December 2012 by conducting a rally in which the students expressed their views on placards.

On 17th December 2012, National Mathematical Year was celebrated by the students of mathematics option.

Students from Natural Science and Physical Science options jointly observed National Science Day on February 28, 2013 by exhibiting posters on Raman effect.

Malala Day was observed in the college and the students and faculty members took pledge on 2nd August 2013.

Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August 2013.

Teachers’ Day was celebrated on 5th September 2013 by honoring Prof. M.A. Alexander who retired from this college 25 years ago, along with all faculty members.

150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekanadawas celebrated in this college.  Prof. P.V. ViswanathanNamboothiri, Baselious College, Kottayam was the chief guest.



A cordial get together of the Former Staff and Students' Association (FOSSA) of the college was held on 14th December 2013 in the college auditorium. Principal Dr. Varghese K. Cheriyan presided over the function. Mr. N.J. John was elected as the new president of FOSSA. The Golden Jubilarians (1963-64 batch) and Silver Jubilarians (1988-89 batch) of the college were honoured in the function. Seventy five members of various batches were present.



The nature club of the college declared June first week as the environmental week and conducted many programmes. They distributed pamphlets and planted trees in the campus.



The cultural club of the college conducted many cultural programmes for the development of artistic as well as aesthetic sense of the students.


Onam Celebrations

Onam was celebrated in a colourful manner in the College on 13-09-2013. The teachers and students whole-heartedly participated in the Onam celebrations.


Honouring the meritorious students

An ‘Award Day’  is organized each year to felicitate the meritorious students of the previous batch and to distribute the Scholarships and Endowments to them.


Parent Teacher Association

The General Body Meeting of the PTA was convened on 25th November 2013. The schedule of B.Ed. course  during the current academic year was discussed in the meeting.  The parents assured their full support and cooperation for the smooth and effective functioning of the college.


Social gathering.

A grand get-together of the alumni of the college and the Family Mela of the present and former teaching and non-teaching staff was conducted as part of the Jubilee Celebration.


College day

College day celebration of the academic year 2013-14 was conducted on 10th February 2014. Mr.Ajithkumar IAS, District Collector, Kottayam inaugurated the function. Mr. Prem Prakash, Cini artist, was the Chief Guest. The cultural programme of the students made the event a memorable one. The endowments and awards for meritorious students were distributed in the meeting.



Samavarthana, the sacred ceremony organized by the institution, was conducted on 11th October 2013.

Student Achievements

Bibin Mathew and Veena V. Nair won second prize in the Inter Collegiate Mathematics Quiz competition held at S.B.College, Changanachery on 14th December 2012.

Bibin Mathew and Veena V. Nair won the Ramanujan ever rolling trophy in the Inter Collegiate Mathematics Quiz competition held at K.E.College, Mannanam.

Joyce Francis and Nisha Mathew won the runners-up trophy in the Inter Training Collegiate Shuttle Badminton Tournament held at St. John the Baptist College of Education, Nedumkunnam.

The College Dance team won the third prize in the Inter Training Collegiate Dance Competition held at St.John the Baptist College of Education, Nedumkunnam.

The dance team of the college has won second place in the Golden Jubilee Inter B.Ed. Choreography competition held at Titus IInd Teachers College, Thiruvalla on 18th March 2008.

Fr. Shaji John and Muhammed Jirshad P.K. have won 3rd prize in the All Kerala Inter Collegiate Shuttle Badminton Tournament conducted at St. John the Baptists College of Education, Nedumkunnam on 11th January 2008.

Fr. Shaji Johnn has won second prize in men’s singles and Miss Saritha Sebastian has won second place in women’s singles in the Golden Jubilee inter  B.Ed college Shuttle Badminton tournament held at Titus IInd Teachers College, Thiruvalla on 19th March 2008
