Social Extension

Community extension service programmes of the college reflect a passionate tendency towards the poor, downtrodden and marginalized. Extension education and community services act as an integral function of the colleges of Higher Education besides teaching and research. Serving the community through research and extension is a social responsibility. Teacher trainees get good exposure to serve the marginalised through different extension services. Society extension service areas like work experience, socially useful productive works, creative teaching learning materials, handicrafts, cooking, stitching, book binding, campus cleaning, rain water harvesting, gardening,  organic manure production, social welfare camps, medical and health awareness camps were widely assigned throughout the annual plan of action of institution. The college regularly organizes social exposure visits and participatory activities including visits to with poor homes, juvenile homes and conducts nature study trips. It collaborates with civic authorities in conducting surveys and field studies. Both the public and the student community gain by these.  The college takes special care to help slow learners through special sessions and personal guidance after college hours. The intensive and committed participation of each teacher trainee were assured through continuous and comprehensive mode of evaluation by pre-setting personal attitude, interest, discipline, responsibility, communication skills, honesty, regularity, group working skills, leadership quality, inter-enhancement etc. as indicators of excellence. The College has extended its services to the humanity through Blood Donor’s Forum. Throughout the year the functioning of the Anti Ragging Cell stressed on the need to abolish the anti-social practice from the society by conducting awareness classes to the student trainees. Our library is utilized by research scholars from other universities and institutions.
